Hi, I forgot the password to my Samsung S5 and can't get in my phone.

Please describe the steps I need to take in order to reset it and type in a new password

Step 1: Go to www.google.com
Step 2: Type in "forgot samsung s5 password" and press enter.
Step 3: Read the steps that come up. For reference, they are:

1. On your lock screen, tap on the 'Forgot password?' option.
2. Enter your Google account username and password.
3. Follow the steps provided by Google to unlock the device.
4. Once you've completed those steps, you'll be able to enter a new pin code for your Samsung Galaxy S5. ...
5. Your phone should now be unlocked.

And if nothing else works, you can try a factory reset, but you'll lose all your data on the phone.

Yeah, that is, when the data on the phone is yours... ;D
