your driving down a deserted road when you see a car. you get out, step in a puddle, and look more closely. you see that the car is next to a light poll the light poll's light is broken. the car windows are shattered and linda is dead. the car didn't hit the poll. what happened?

Sorry if I seem a little pedantic on an otherwise good riddle (I know the answer, so I won't ruin it), but I guess that Sigmund Freud would put it down to the differences between the way both of us were potty trained.

the light was broken and so Linda couldn't see anything while driving. So she drove the car into the slippery puddle and lost control and somehow (even though this is physically extremely hard to do unless she was speeding like crazy, in which case if she was on a dark night like this maybe she should get a darwin award) flipped the car over. and died.

Or she was ambushed in the dark by some robbers. Who ended up killing her

it might have been easier to slip on that puddle if it were once ice. By the time the narrator got there, it melted.

I think iono meant that Linda didn't touch the pole... her car touched the puddle that was carrying the current from the pole

And somehow the current carried back to Lina.

Or she stepped out onto an electrocuted puddle

Well the thing about this riddle is that she probably could have been killed in any way (ex: a heart attack) and conveniently endedu p near a pole with a broken light, where robbers broke in her car to steal her radio.

But that's no fun

So, Linda loves to collect lightbulbs. So she see's this extremely pretty lightbulb in the middle of nowhere with noone around, so she tries to climb up the pole to get it, Unfortunately for Linda, it was just raining, so the pole got pretty slippery near the top, so she slipped while trying to grab the lightbulb, grabbed it, broke it while falling, and landed on her car, breaking the windows
