How did Mark legally marry three women in Michigan, without divorcing any of them, becoming legally separated, or any of them dying? :(this is My last riddle for the day >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

He married them in 3 different wedding places. Or an answer I think would work(but obviously isn't the original answer to that question) is that "three women" is the name of the person he married.

I live there/here (Michigan), and I'm certain that it's not.  Heck, a few years back someone here was successfully prosecuted (fined) for swearing in the presence of a lady...  "progressive" is not a word generally used to describe our legal system.

As far as I know it's not legal anywhere in the U.S.  Not even Utah.  Whether individual states criminalize it or turn a blind eye is their own decision.  Most take some kind of middle ground, acting when necessary to stop abuse (like recently) and ignoring them otherwise.

How did he marry them? He didn't. The cops took him down just for trying, even though the priest wasn't going to let him marry a second woman anyway.

If Mark is a Moslem, would it still be illegal in Michigan to have 3 wives ? Or does he still have to wait until Obama becomes president ?  :P

A Moslem is permitted to have 4 wives, and if Mark is a Moslem, he is not breaking any laws. And if I remember correctly, the First Amendment favours religious laws over civil laws. ( Right ? )

Except federal ones; otherwise the mormons in Utah wouldn't have been forced at gunpoint to abandon polygamy in the 19th(?) century.
And as I recall Moslems are required by the koran to follow the laws of the country they live in.
