There are three suspects who are suspected of secretly sending a message to a captured criminal, Telling him to go to the bathroom, where they prepared an escape kit. They are on a train. They walk by, somehow getting the message across without saying anything. They possible message-sending items are as follows:

One person holds a  regular newspaper and a can of coffee.
Another holds a newspaper covering horseback racing.
The last holds a newspaper covering the World Cup.

Which one sent the message and how?

[hide]The heading on the sports newspaper said that a team had lost a player and was going to lose. The guy held the newspaper so the visible part read"

"GOING TO LO" which could be read (phonetically)
"GOING TO LOO" with the loo being the bathroom.[/hide]

No. Plausible though and I'll count it as an alternative answer. However the intended one is along the same line but different.
