Title: Bronco Post by Iceman on Nov 7th, 2007, 8:28am It is Wild West, and Bronco is strolling downtown, when a bounty hunter Blondie asks him whether he knows where he could find Billy Bronson, who is wanted dead or alive. Bronco looks around, and since there is nobody else nearby, he says where he is. Blondie tosses him a coin, and Bronco turns the other way, and starts walking away. But then he stops, and proposes a bet to Blondie, worth five more coins. He says that he would toss the coin in the air, and then shoot at it, making hole in the middle. Blondie agrees, and soon he loses five coins, even though Bronco is not very precise with pistols. How then? |

Title: Re: Bronco Post by denis on Nov 7th, 2007, 9:16am [hide]Bronco ties the coin to the end of the pistol barrel very tightly. He then releases the pistol safety hatch. Finaly he throws the gun/coin high up in the air so that when it lands, it discharges[/hide] |

Title: Re: Bronco Post by Iceman on Nov 7th, 2007, 9:51am No to both. So no tying and he fired his pistol once when the coin was in the air, that is, a few meters above his head. ;) |

Title: Re: Bronco Post by SMQ on Nov 7th, 2007, 10:05am Does the wink mean that the coin [hide]landed in or on or stuck to something[/hide] above Bronco's head? --SMQ |

Title: Re: Bronco Post by Ghost Sniper on Nov 7th, 2007, 10:11am There is always that moment of 0 kinetic energy, in which, if Bronco is fast enough, can shoot it without having to aim at a moving object. |

Title: Re: Bronco Post by Iceman on Nov 7th, 2007, 10:59am No to both. |

Title: Re: Bronco Post by denis on Nov 7th, 2007, 11:58am This is the Wild West so Bronco, instead of shooting the coin, shoots Blondie and steals the five coins from him. |

Title: Re: Bronco Post by Iceman on Nov 7th, 2007, 3:43pm Nope. |

Title: Re: Bronco Post by Grimbal on Nov 8th, 2007, 1:47am It wouldn't count if [hide]there is already a hole in the coin before he tosses it[/hide]. Would it? |

Title: Re: Bronco Post by gotit on Nov 8th, 2007, 1:47am [hide]It was Bronco who lost the bet but he did not have change. So he gave Blondie an amount of 10 and Blondie returned him five coins. Thus Blondie lost five coins but gained an amount of 10.[/hide] |

It would. Yep, you got it Grimbal: he switched the coins, quickly. Heh, I guess he is quick with his hands after all. ::) |
