Title: Tree trunks
Post by Iceman on Oct 14th, 2007, 9:44am
John was rolling 5 tree trunks of the same size and 8 smaller ones, and then just left them in place, arranging them flat on the ground. What was the purpose of his solitary action?

[hide]John was stranded on a island and wanted to light up a signal beacon e.g. SOS or something like that[/hide]

Thanks to denis' idea, I'm pretty sure that the attachment contains the intended solution.

Because, unlike John, he doesn't need anyone to see it. :P

I can't open the file in the zip. Can someone explain to me what it is?

Not me. ;DI will suggest this though: just install winzip.    ;)

I can open the zip alright, but I can't open the picture in the zip. Apparently my computer doesn't support the picture format.

I've attached it as a GIF, which is probably friendlier than a PNG.

........or just drag and paste the file on your desktop, and then play with it regarding a viewer of your choice. .

Hmm... PNG stands for "portable network graphic", so I was hoping this would not be a problem.  :-/

OK. Now I can see it. Thanks.

Another answer could possibly be [hide]He was on a cliff, and it was low tide. High tide at that place reaches above the cliff (somehow), and he made a raft with the logs. Once high tide comes, he goes on the logs and sails away with the tide.[/hide]  :P

Btw, [hide]what do you think of the answer? I saw it in Castaway movie. I liked that part when coconuts were making that darn noise as well.  :P [/hide]
