Title: No Fire for explorers Post by mikedagr8 on Aug 14th, 2007, 9:56pm Neil and Dave were exploring a new territory. They felt a little cold and decided it was time to build a fire from newspapers and bits of dry wood, which they had brought with them. The matches were all unused and dry, but would not light the wooden part of the match;their lighters would not work even they they seemed as though they should, and even resorted to flintsparks and using the suns powerful rays through a strong magnifying glass. Nothing worked. Why? |
