A man had an accident. Luckily, he wasn't injured, but he did break something. He didn't have another accident, and nobody tried to hurt him, but later he went blind. What did he break?

er shouldn't the title be reverse of what it is???

Anyways he broke the special dark glasses used to see solar eclipse... and he had to see it and he stared at it long enough to go blind...

He was a polar explorer during an solo expedition near the south pole. He broke his dark glasses needed to protect from the snow glare. Because the sun doesn't set near the south pole in January and because it is very cold, he could not stop to wait for sunset. So he had to keep on walking to find shelter. Also, he had to keep his eyes open so as to not fall into a crevasse. Thus he became snow blind in the glaring brightness of the great white dessert.

Something like that. Yes, the answer is [hide]snow goggles. But I had in mind mountain. Although, I dunno much about these things, so am I wrong?[/hide] ;)

Polar explorer and [hide]mountaineers both use snow goggles to protect from the snow glare. I should have called them snow goggles in my previous post. So youre were correct. The reason I choose solo polar expedition is that on a mountain, you can often find someone with a spare of goggles. [/hide]
