Title: Tim
Post by Iceman on Jul 8th, 2007, 8:36am
A car hits Tim and he isn't damaged, but because of it he dies two months later. What happened?

[hide]Tim sues the owner of the car, claiming they recklessly endangered his life.  Unfortunately, the owners are criminally inclined and decide that rather than let Tim testify in court they will simply make him disappear.[/hide]

Not bad, but I had something else in mind, so he didn't[hide] sue anybody[/hide].  ;)

He starves, unfound, pinned under the car (undamaged) ?

Nah.

Had Tim been injured, he would have been hospitalised where they would have discovered with the x-rays and scans that he is in the early stages of a curable disease with can be fatal and incurable in  later stages (e.g. cancer, brain tumor).

But since Tim was not injured, he keeps living with the disease undetected and will die in two months.

Not bad, but he was in topnotch health.

He attracted the attention of the police.  They arrested him because he is a wanted criminal.  He was executed 2 months later.

Or

It was an accident in the middle of the desert.  Both cars were damaged beyond repair.  Nobody ever came to rescue them.  He managed to survive for 2 months by eating the other driver.

Tim is a tree in middle of the road and most often but not cars hit it!!! The towns folks tired on hitting this tree all the time decided to finally chop it down after 2 months of town hall deliberation!!  ::)

You are on the right track. A part of your answer is 100% right, but you have to search a bit deeper.

This part is right. But when the car hit him, he [hide]still managed to escape that day, plus he was in disguise so the police did not recognize him. So the question is, how did they caught him, and pretty soon? [/hide]

Actually, is Tim human ? Because injuries to humans is usually referred to as being hurt, rather than damaged..which would make Sameer correct.  ;D

Did the driver report the incident ?

Did any part of his body had fender / tire marks ?  :P

The cops realized his modus operandi when commiting a crime, the path that he used, so they just wait for him the next time he commited a crime.

No to everything, and he is human, or should I say, he was human.

He crossed outside of the yellow lines.  It is the 3rd time.  And as you know, in the US, if you commit 3 times the same crime, you get the death penalty.

No, I don't know. Really ?  :o

Icey, when you say he was human, is it because now he's dead, or because he turned into something else ?

Relax JiNbOtAk  :) they don't actually get the death penalty... but it would make you think twice before becoming a repeat offender, would it not?  8)
The only downside is that the taxpayers have to support their life of luxury in prison (I mean have you ever toured one of those things???  :o They get TV, a gym membership, and just about everything they could ask for... in fact I know someone who was homeless and quite literally commited a crime just so they could be pampered on the state's tab, as it sure beats the hell out of a box.) Hmmm... maybe we should take a page out of Castro's and Mexico's books and just turn all our prisoners loose and tell them if they stay down in Mexico they are free men... ? That would be poetic justice.

It would certainly make you think twice about leaving any witness alive a second time.

I don't think a tour does it justice. I'd hazard to guess that if you actually stayed in prison a few months, that your perspective on it would change. Especially if the other prisoners don't like you; or "too much". In neither case is it likely the guards can come to your rescue in time, if at all.
It's certainly not as bad as in some countries, but it's no pick-nick either. "Luxury" is grossly overstating it.

[hide]Tim, being the idiot he is, is driving in his own car when the car is hit. Unable to drive away, he gets away on foot. The police soon arrive, and, after running the plates of his car, learn that the car belongs to Tim and that he is wanted. Searching the car, they find maps of Miami, Florida where they now know that Tim will be headed. After a month of exhaustive searching, Tim is found in a hammock between palm trees on the shore, drinking some ice cold lemonade reading Harry Potter, listening to classical music. He is then extradited to his home state, put through the month long process of being tried for his heinous crimes (which include regicide), and is given the death sentence.[/hide]

His car is not important here.

[hide]  The concerned driver dialed 911 as he got out to see if Tim was okay.  After just being hit, Tim was confused.  The driver asked what his name was and without thinking he said "Tim O'Doyle".  The driver told him "It's okay the police and ambulance are on their way."  Tim got his wits about him and hurried away from  the scene, insisting to the driver that he was okay.  When the police arrived, the driver gave them Tim's name and told them he had fled from the scene.  The police recognized the name from the most-wanted list and sent a search party after him.  Tim was caught (using the driver's description of his disguise) and sentenced to death. [/hide]

Tim [hide]got away that day, from the police, of course, as everybody is running away from the police, even policemen, just to be on the safe side. So, if the car didn't hit him that day, perhaps the police would never catch him.[/hide] Does this help?
