Title: Store Post by Iceman on Jun 4th, 2007, 3:55pm There is a shootout in a store between two men with guns, where one has two additional loaded guns on his person. And at one moment, the other one empties his only gun by shooting bottles. Why? |

Title: Re: Store Post by thecow135 on Jun 4th, 2007, 5:43pm the bottles fall and knock out the guy? because they want to arrest and not kill the bad guy? |

Title: Re: Store Post by denis on Jun 4th, 2007, 8:39pm the guy with the two additional guns is barefeet |

Title: Re: Store Post by ima1trkpny on Jun 4th, 2007, 9:06pm Bottles are full of nitric acid so when they are struck they will spray onto the other man and eat him alive. ;) |

Title: Re: Store Post by Grimbal on Jun 5th, 2007, 2:56am He can't aim? He is blind? He hates alcohol? He broke into a lab to exchange urine samples that proved he won a race by taking drugs. The police arrived before he managed to do the switch. But he was so close. So as a last resort, he shot the incriminating samples from the shelf. |

Title: Re: Store Post by denis on Jun 5th, 2007, 10:21am his store is insured for property damage but not for burglary so he destroys his stock of liquor. |
||
Title: Re: Store Post by ima1trkpny on Jun 6th, 2007, 1:25pm He shoots the bottles of liquor over the other mans head igniting the liquor which rains down on him burning him and stopping him from using his guns. ;) |

Title: Re: Store Post by Sameer on Jun 6th, 2007, 1:30pm uh... the first man is practicing shooting bottles and second person is his butler holding his other two favorite guns :) |

Title: Re: Store Post by BNC on Jun 7th, 2007, 4:04am Is it possible they were [hide]"shooting" price guns[/hide]? |

You got it ima1trkpny. 8) And I suppose you are aware that a speeding bullet cannot ignite liquor like that? Just checking. ;) Oh and other guesses are fine efforts. :-* |

So... if that doesn't work, how come it's the intended answer? |

Title: Re: Store Post by Iceman on Jun 8th, 2007, 11:09am She got the idea right. As for igniting alcohol, use your imagination. He most probably used a lighter. In the movie From dusk till dawn, the protagonist used his lighter and toilet paper from the above liquor store. |

Title: Re: Store Post by ima1trkpny on Jun 10th, 2007, 7:49am Iceman... seriously... how many movies have you seen??? Are you a film critic or something or just a movie junky? ;) LOL I have to say I love all the absolutely crazy scenarios you find for riddles. |
||
Title: Re: Store Post by Iceman on Jun 10th, 2007, 8:23am I am just a movie junky. I have two towers of Hollywood movies in my room. But most of them are pretty old, as most new ones are getting worse and worse if you ask me. So, out of despair, I just had to compensate with riddles. ;) |

Title: Re: Store Post by Archae on Jun 10th, 2007, 9:48am Unfortunately, most Hollywood movies include sequences that are outside the possibility of science. A lot of these are pointed out on Mythbusters, although a lot of older movies got things right. So stick with the old movies, but know that Hollywood still puts out something good every so often; just not as often as they used to. Oh well. |

Title: Re: Store Post by Grimbal on Jun 11th, 2007, 9:13am And the absolute worst movie in that respect, the most offending to physics is: "The Core". http://www.intuitor.com/moviephysics/core.html It is so bad, I would actually recommend it. |

Well, with reference to From Dusk till Dawn, the zombie scenario depicted in the movie is not really plausible, is it ? Compared to that, the climax seems almost realisitic.. ;D |
