There was a crystal orb of great value, in the hundred thousands, and it was owned by a woman. One day, the woman invited a few friends over. The woman filled up a coffee pot and served coffee to her friends. After everyone drank their fill, she showed them the crystal orb. Everyone looked on with glory. Then the woman and her friends cleaned up. When they went back to the table, however, the orb was missing :o
Everyone had a chance to hide
The scene: table with red tablecloth. Nothing on it but a full coffeepot and a plate of fruits
Yet it was found, and the person who tried to steal it. Where was it found
Hint: [hide]It was hidden when everybody was cleaning up[/hide]

My guess its that [hide]the orb was found inside the coffee pot submerged in the coffee[/hide]

I discarded that guess when I realized two things: [hide]Were that true it would be equally easy to hide it among the fruit and were it inside, the blame would not be placed on anyone. If they all had a chance to hide it, anyone could have put the orb in the pot.[/hide]

Perhaps one of the ladies was always trying to stand sideways instead of facing others to hide the fact that one [hide]breast[/hide] was seemingly larger than the other..

But how did they know?

They didn't dust for fingerprints.

Must be the one that tidied up the table and thus had the oportunity to put the orb in the coffee pot. Only problem, how does she get the orb once the pot is returned in the kitchen by the hostess, and the hostess discovers the orb in the pot when she empties the coffee into the sink?

Maybee the hostess hid the orb to get the insurance money.

Isn't it weird that the coffeepot would still be full, even after everyone had drank their fill ?

Perhaps, while it was true that everyone had access to the orb while no one else was looking, only one person had access to the coffee pot while no one else was looking.

You can search for who had the opportunity to hide the orb or search for who will have an opportunity to get it back afterwards.

The one who eagerly proposes to wash the coffee pot has probably something in his mind.
