Title: Re: Ming Post by towr on Dec 27th, 2006, 1:47pm He threw it at the ceiling while standing on matrasses. When the vase hit the ceiling (the hard surface) it had slowed to a crawl due to gravity. And when it return to the ground, it fell on the matresses. |

Title: Re: Ming Post by Sir Col on Jan 5th, 2007, 4:38am I realise that [hide]surface tension[/hide] might cause it to break, but he could have thrown it with might into a [hide]body of water and it sank gracefully until coming to rest on the hard surface below[/hide]. Or he threw it with all his might [hide]along a relatively smooth surface. The friction reduced it to an almost standstill speed before finally being brought to rest as it gently touches a wall[/hide]. |

Title: Re: Ming Post by Grimbal on Jan 5th, 2007, 8:03am It could have been [hide]a diver doing underwater archaeology[/hide]. Close to Sir Col's answer. |
