Two men drink identical drinks, but one man dies from drinking the drink. How did the other man survive?

Yes, you have the why, but not the how, as in, how did drinking the drink slowly affect his death?

[hide]The poison was in the ice cubes. The man who drank quickly didn't allow the ice cubes to melt and seep into his drink. The man who drank slowly ended up letting the ice melt in his drink, thus releasing the poison into his drink.[/hide]
