there is a shoot out happening and a man is getting shot over and over again with AK47's from head to toe, but he won't go down, he is still standing and he keeps firing back at his enemies. How?

Body armor wont stop rifle rounds so it can't be that...he's not behind bullet-proof glass is he? Or he's holding a dead body in front of him?
