Title: Mona Lisa
Post by alien on Dec 20th, 2005, 5:52am

John asks Mark again to lend him $1000. Mark, although sick to his stomach, decides to lend him the money again because he is his friend and all, but only if he answers correctly to the riddle bellow...

How would you put the poster of Mona Lisa on the wall using adhesive tape so that there is no wall without the above poster in the room?

[hide] The walls are not in the room, they are around it! [/hide]

I must admit that I don't understand at all what both of you are trying to say, but let me just say that the riddle states that you should try to accomplish this inside of the room.  :P

Just tear the poster apart and tape the parts everywhere?

I was saying that since the room is delimited by the walls, the walls are not really inside the room, but around.  So there is no wall to consider.

Another possibility is to consider that there is a single wall going all around the room.  So put it anywhere.

Yes, that is the intended answer.

Generally speaking, inner part of the walls is always within the room.  ;)

ChunkTug: stop solving my riddles! I'm not kidding.   :P
