Title: Forgetful Swimmer Post by Camelo on Mar 27th, 2005, 11:15am A man comes back from a long swim at the beach and takes a trip to the dry cleaners. When done there he goes to a restaurant, he orders his food. When he finishes his food, he relizes something, and runs out into the street, gets hit by a car, and dies. Why did he run into the street?? //Name changed to something descriptive and thread moved from "Hard" forum by moderator// |

Title: Re: Forgetful Swimmer Post by BamaBoys on Mar 28th, 2005, 3:01pm Could it be that..... [hide] The man had left his wallet in his pants when he went to the dry cleaners. When he got to the resturant, he ordered alot of food, building up a very large tab. When he got his wallet, he saw that all the money was gone, realizing it must of fell out at the cleaners. Knowing that this resturant has no tolorence for people not being able to pay for their food ( a very high fine, or maybe even imprisonment? ) the man runs out into the street and jumps in front of a car to avoid this. Title: Re: Forgetful Swimmer Post by JiNbOtAk on Mar 30th, 2005, 4:42pm Or could be : [hide]He is supposed to start his first day at work that day. He only remembers it after he finished his meal. Not wanting to join the ever-increasing pool of unemployed people, he rushed outside, only to have himself part of the auto-accident statistics.[/hide] Anyway, since I guess we are supposed to ask more questions to get the correct answer, here are some : 1. Is the fact he went swimming that morning significant ? 2. Is the type of clothes he left at the dry cleaner significant ? 3. The fact that he realizes while in the restaurant, does it tie in anyway to his earlier activities ? 4. Does he have enough money to pay for his meal ? |

Title: Re: Forgetful Swimmer Post by Hawk on Apr 15th, 2005, 12:05pm I'm guessing that the swim and the cleaners should have something to do with solving the riddle, but i cant figure out how?? so this is the best i can come up with now..: [hideb]after eating he realizes he was alergic to something he ate or needed to take his medication for something... realizing he forgot his meds in what he left at the cleaners, he rushes to retrieve them... in his frantic hurry, he gets hit by a car???[/hideb] |

Title: Re: Forgetful Swimmer Post by Ajax on May 13th, 2005, 5:58am His clothes are a bit wet, so he wears the clothes he took from the dry cleaners. After eating, he puts his hand into the pocket of the freshly dry cleaned (anything inside hasn't been destroyied by water) jacket and takes out something... Is it a detonator he forgot to put into the bomb he set under a bridge (that's why he was swimming) Is he suffering from amnesia and from the message inside his pocket he realizes that he is the chef if the restaurant and he had cooked the previous day his wife or his dog or something like that? |

Title: Re: Forgetful Swimmer Post by Meisha Carter on Aug 6th, 2005, 10:31pm The man took the wet clothes he had on to the dry cleaners. He walked out went to the restaurant, then realized he didn't have anything on.lol So he tries to run back to the cleaners but gets hit by a car. Probably wrong but worth a shot. |
