Title: Re: Island of salvation Post by Grimbal on Mar 3rd, 2005, 2:51am They used the second boat and united forces rowing. That way, they overcame the stong waves. |

Title: Re: Island of salvation Post by Three Hands on Mar 3rd, 2005, 4:22am For lousy swimmers, that guy sure managed to swim a fair distance in the rough seas... |

Title: Re: Island of salvation Post by Grimbal on Mar 3rd, 2005, 6:04am They wait for the low tide. ??? |

Title: Re: Island of salvation Post by Three Hands on Mar 3rd, 2005, 7:10am That was my next idea, Grimbal. But I'm not convinced that the seas will die down sufficiently, or that some causeway will appear, since, although I'm no geologist, I don't think sand is particularly good at staying in one place to act as a causeway. But, hey, what do I know... |

Title: Re: Island of salvation Post by Grimbal on Mar 3rd, 2005, 8:53am They make stilts? |

Title: Re: Island of salvation Post by Grimbal on Mar 3rd, 2005, 1:48pm They turn the boat upside down, they add some stones to make it heavy, and they cross to the other island by walking on the bottom of the sea, breathing under the boat. |

Title: Re: Island of salvation Post by Grimbal on Mar 4th, 2005, 12:51am This was it? :o I just tried to be creative. Actually that solution looked really unpractical to me. And it doesn't make use of the extra oar they have. But: 8) |

Title: Re: Island of salvation Post by towr on Mar 4th, 2005, 4:22am Unless it's a boat the size of the titanic, they'll never have enough air to reach another island that way.. |

Title: Re: Island of salvation Post by Grimbal on Mar 8th, 2005, 2:16am It didn't say they want to cross the Atlantic either.... |
||
Title: Re: Island of salvation Post by towr on Mar 8th, 2005, 9:07am But if it's anything more than a few dozen meter they'll allready use too much of the oxygen under the boat. And they'd have already died before having used up the oxygen from an overdose of CO2.. |
||
Title: Re: Island of salvation Post by Grimbal on Mar 8th, 2005, 3:31pm Actually I agree. If they can not row over the sea, it is probably too far to crawl under it. And they are likely to get lost. |

Title: Re: Island of salvation Post by JiNbOtAk on Mar 23rd, 2005, 10:21pm Hmmm..I kinda remembered this scenario from Pirates of the Carribean. Though it does seem a little improbable that the air inside the boat would be sufficient until they reach the other island. |
