There is a huge wave heading toward a man in a boat. Contact is inevitable but nothing happens to the boat. How come?

I've posted this riddle previously on the former MyRiddles board.

its a [hide] sound wave [/hide] or [hide] the man in the boat is still on shore so the wave crashes on the sand and gently comes in contact with the boat [/hide].

That's right. By [hide]the time the wave arrived to the boat it was small.[/hide]

It wasn't a [hide]sound wave.[/hide]

[hide] tsunami [/hide] are very small out at sea.

Maybe its a wave of relief.

I don't know how to translate the above sentence in English but it isn't that important for the riddle.

Neka si Ameri sada misle sta sam rekao. ;D
