There is a problem with the function "Search the last N posts by this poster". If the poster has made 3 posts and you search for 5, it times out. It seems it searches the whole database.

It is annoying because regularly people register and make a few 1-line posts just to promote their web site in their profile. When I see one such post, I like to check the others.

Since it is known how many posts there are, it would speed up the search if it stopped when it has found that many posts.

Or it could restrict the search to posts after the date when the poster has registered.

One of these days we really need to take a good look at the software of this forum, cause that's hardly the only problem. Search on this forum in general is pretty bad.
