I was reading the user agreement and found this:

You agree, through your use of this YaBB forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of ANY law. This is not only humorous, but legal actions can be taken against you. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or you have consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also inappropriate to this YaBB forum.

Should humorous really be there?

Wow, someone who actually reads user agreements ;D

I'd worry more about 'not posting any material that is false', if you post a wrong answer you break the agreement ;)
But I think we take it in good humor.

The purpose of most user agreements is to give the owner/moderators the right to kick out anyone they feel like - though there are also issues with legal liability - if you don't have some sort of agreement restricting what can be posted, then the host is liable for anything that gats put up on the board; with the agreement, the poster is liable.

Note, I am not a lawyer, so I may have got the wrong end of the stick somewhere. Take my opinions as fact at your own risk.

I believe that the "humorous" was just William showing his own sense of humor. (I noticed it when I first registered too.)

By the way, Bethany, just what the heck is that thing in your icon's mouth supposed to be? ???
