2) The following groups of letters are taken from which three connected words?

3) Place a word in the brackets that has the same meaning as the words on either side:

5) [hide]"still" (StationAry would be closer, but StationEry is paper)[/hide]

6) [hide]I'm inclined to go with "possible", buf I think a case could be made for "ordinary" as well.[/hide]

Yes, I added this pitiful attempt at trickery myself. ::)

I opted for 'possible', too. But the newspaper gives 'ordinary' as correct.
FANCIFUL:
a) characterized by or dispaying fancy in design, fantastic, odd in appearance
b) suggested by fancy, imaginary, unreal

Had one of the choices been "mundane" it would have been a clear winner.
