Perhaps you mean 'the deaf', not 'the dave'? |

Title: Re: Dave, blind and dumb Post by Archae on Sep 1st, 2007, 7:38am The riddle, as I understand it, is as follows: There are three men: Dave, a blind man, and a dumb man. Dave steals money from the blind man. How can the dumb man tell the blind man about this theft? [hide]My response: 1. The dumb man could write the blind man a message in braille; 2. the dumb man could be just dumb (read: not intelligent), not incapable of speech.[/hide] |

Title: Re: Dave, blind and dumb Post by Grimbal on Sep 6th, 2007, 12:53pm Let's assume the riddle is: There are three man, one is deaf, one is blind, one is mute. The deaf steals the blind. How can the mute tell the blind that the deaf stole his money? I guess the mute can use sign language to kindly ask the deaf person to translate in spoken language whatever he wants to tell the blind ::). |

Title: Re: Dave, blind and dumb Post by hiyathere on Sep 10th, 2007, 10:37am Well, if the mute can write and the deaf can read, the mute can write a note to the deaf, telling him that that blind stole the money, and the blind wouldn't be able to read it. And how the heck is the blind supposed to steal the deaf's money if the blind can't see? |

The deaf stole from the blind, not vice versa. |

Title: Re: Dave, blind and dumb Post by hiyathere on Sep 10th, 2007, 10:58am Misread... I was wondering why it was so ez... Ok new answer: The mute drags the blind's hand to his/her wallet/purse and let the blind feel around it. When the blind realizes there is no money in there, he will know that the deaf stole it. |
