Title: the postion of the number
Post by mikedagr8 on Jul 13th, 2007, 4:17am
i am writing a riddle i dont think has been said, but is very solveable. find a 10 digit number where the first number represents the number of 1's in the number, the second number represents the nuber of 2's in the number.... and the tenth number represents the number of zero's. would it be possible to make this an official riddle?

I think you DID say you WRITE it...and yes, you are a riddle solver, only to the extent that you 'believe' or 'think' you can solve them...so a better wording is you are a believer or thinker?   ;)

"i am writing a riddle i dont think has been said"
if you use your common logic, it would seem that I AM NOT WRITING IT FROM MY THOUGHTS DIRECTLY, AS IF I INVENTED IT, the part "i don't think has been said", doesn't that sound like i know it has been around before i thought of it, or at least to post? the "i am writing" think of it as i am wondering if anyone has seen this, to i will type it up. Give that one ago. Also the previous posts clarify this, that it has been on the net... where do you think i got it from?, i recieved it from a MENSA book. I am sorry you do not, understand this, but just to let you know, that is where i got it from.

please improve your english in the future, and i don't want to waste my time commenting on each of your incorrect assertion.  i am surprised to see how badly organized the thoughts of a typical 15 y/o like you can be nowadays...  lol

if you have so many things implied from your incomplete and inaccurate statments, please state them explicitly in the future, and i can tell you that using my common logic, i could not see behind your thoughts really...  and why should or would i care to?  now it is not even the day time in melbourne yet, and i have to correct my previous comments on kid like u, u r no believer or thinker, but just a dreamer in the xxx of melbourne, or in short, a typical daydreamer of a typical arrogant australian, albeit you are only 15 y/o... and do feel free to add more logics behind your writen english...just don't waste my time on dumb kid like you

I am certainly not claiming infallible spelling nor am I suggesting my grammar is flawless. However, a cursory examination of your last post would suggest that you should take a look at the following basic rules: use capital letters at the start of a sentence, with proper nouns, and the first person personal pronoun; make proper use of singular and plural nouns; ensure that the article (definite or indefinite) is used appropriately in your sentences; and terminate sentences with the correct punctuation.

To jump in: no, I had never seen this riddle/question before.  However, I found it pretty easy, seeing as how I could write down a number that would be certainly close, then modify it slightly.

the explanation for your comment is self-contained in my previous post, i just dont want to spend excessive time in typing, which includes this one, so no need for you to criticize same thing twice, please, especially if you want to be the hero in rescuing the 'weak'...MR. COLIN

I wasn't trying to rescue you at all, I was merely trying to "educate" you. (By the way, that was irony.) And in case the lesson was all too subtle, it was not so much in using good English, although your last post suggests you still have some way to go, as much as guarding against hypocrisy and the use of unkind words. If this is all getting too confusing for you, I'll ask a simple rhetorical question: how are your posts constructive? (Note: rhetorical means that you're not expected to answer.)

Don't make me die laughing at your stupid 'insight' - posts in this site were ever meant to be constructive?  LMFAO... not to say too far ago, how was the one you just posted be defined as such....  last but not the least, I don't want to waste time on you SUPER UBERPUZZLER, LOL, so be my guest, not-so-smart (meaning DUMB) mr. colin, start to bark now... take care (my mouth shut, hahahaha)

I think this has gotten out hand, thankyou to all those who have had the decency to respond in a manner of politeness. I am sorry about my outburst, but I never claimed to invent the problem only to write it out, and give to others. Please in future do not insult me due to my age, for it is not the age behind the wisdom, it is the wisdom behind the age. If you do not understand this, it basically means that do not judge people by how they act, for you do not truly know what they are thinking. And it is a common saying where I am form down in Melbourne, Australia. If you have a serious problem with me, keep it to yourself. Also youth, is the future. It is best not to insult it, becuase it is they, who have to deal with the problems you caused. Thankyou.

I suppose it's possible that most posts here aren't "constructive" in whatever manner you're using the term, but all but a very few have at least tried to be civil.  However you, sir, are being a dick. (http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Don%27t_be_a_dick)

I apologise for "being a dick" in my previous posts, it wil not happen again, on the proviso that I am not insulted for any reason, especially due to my age.

I believe he was referring to revenge, who in the space of 4 hours called both you and Sir Col 'dumb'.

Yes, I realise that and am well aware, but better to be safe and sorry (lucky for me i apologised twice, which should be enough to clear everyone over ).
