Title: Re: BDAY TWINS Post by Icarus on Nov 10th, 2005, 7:46pm They still celebrate their birthdays only one day apart that way, even if they are in different years. The "bonus part" is to figure out the maximum separation by which they can celebrate the same birth day (e.g. the farthest their 12th birthdays can be apart). |

Title: Re: BDAY TWINS Post by Shahmeer on Dec 3rd, 2005, 10:41am One of them could be born on February 28 at 11:59:59 pm and the other on March 1 12:00:00am During leap years they would celebrate their birthdays 2 days apart instead of one. |

Title: Re: BDAY TWINS Post by Joe_de_Balliol on Dec 20th, 2005, 8:58am If you include the International Date Line I think I can get it to three days apart as they are one side of it for Feb 28th, then on Feb 29th they cross it to get back to Feb 28th, then they have Feb 29th, then finally a day later they celebrate the other birthday. Also they can be born just as a plane crosses it - but that doesn't help. J |
