Title: Microsoft Puzzle Hunt Post by Jonathan_the_Red on Sep 10th, 2002, 12:19pm Every year or so, the Microsoft Puzzle Hunt is held. This is a grueling, two-day affair with some maddeningly difficult puzzles leading towards an eventual goal. It's a team event, with teams of up to 12. Each team is allowed up to 50% non-Microsoft people. Last year was the first time I participated, and it was a blast. My team, the Fuzzy Bunnies, placed a respectable seventh, but this year I'm determined we'll do better. The Hunt is taking place 9/21-9/22 in Redmond. We have a few openings. Any Seattle-area puzzlers think they have what it takes? Here's a link to some puzzles (and solutions) from a previous hunt: http://puzzlehunt.isetv.com/Puzzles.asp |

Title: Re: Microsoft Puzzle Hunt Post by Jonathan_the_Red on Sep 24th, 2002, 12:59am Just wanted to report: the Puzzle Hunt was a blast. Sorry none of you guys was able to attend. Our team (the Fuzzy Bunnies) placed a respectable 7th out of a field of 40-odd teams, I can't help but think we'd have done better with a few of the ace solvers from this message board here :) Any interest in me posting any of the puzzles? |
