Title: Research on wu::forums?

What do you guys think of putting open research problems up on this forum?

Things we have been working on, and have been stuck with for a while.

On one hand, we could probably solve anything much quicker by working together. We all know there are a lot of really smart people here.

On the other hand, if a paper comes out of it, the always annoying problem of how credit should be allocated could be a pain to figure out (imagine a long thread with a 100 substantial replies from at least 50 different posters, many of whom we don't even know the names of).

What do you guys think?

Might provide some interesting puzzles, certainly.

I'd just credit the forum as a group, and perhaps link to the discussion.

If you're worried, stick a disclaimer in the first post: "anything said in this thread may be used without individual attribution" (or some such)
