Title: blocks and stars
Post by Noke Lieu on Jul 4th, 2007, 11:33pm
Very busy. Much more than I deserve.

In weaker moments, I found these two games tucked away. Quite nice.

Hmm, the OCf server's new firewall seems a bit oevrzealous; can't even link to a few innocent little puzzle games without problems.

The first one's fun, I haven't tried the second yet..

Yes, it doesn't like addicting games very much, as with the impossible quiz

and one more, just before I go home.

most levels take about 2 minutes, but occassionally I stumble and can take *ahem* a few more.

OMG, I can't get past level 29 for hexiom. It's taking me an 45 minutes to get there and I've spent the last 15 trying to beat it. Nice game.

That's definitely a devious one.  A hint: [hide]the solution (including the empty hexes) has more than one axis of symmetry[/hide].

I read this problem previously and thought you had
might abstracted it as a constellation matching problem
but seeing now it could be done as such.

That helps. I kept putting them together and I was able to get 1 or 2 pieces not getting the right number together. Thanks guys, I'll try tomorrow. Hopefully I can complete it. I spent another 30 minutes on it today :-[

I was doing okay until my browser crashed in the low 20s somewhere...

Intuitively, I feel that figuring out some sort of dual would help with a number of the puzzles...
