Title: Study Stickies: good enough to launch soon? Post by amichail on Jun 4th, 2007, 11:08am I was wondering if my current startup attempt is good enough to launch soon: http://studystickies.com http://studystickies.com/#by%3Aamichail http://studystickies.com/#human%20computation%20by%3Aamichail http://studystickies.com/#probability%20by%3Aamichail http://studystickies.com/#geometry%20by%3Aamichail http://studystickies.com/#sql%20by%3Aamichail http://studystickies.com/#computer%20science It seems good enough to me, but some disagree: http://news.ycombinator.com/comments?id=26150 |

Title: Re: Study Stickies: good enough to launch soon? Post by towr on Jun 4th, 2007, 12:18pm The loading seems to be slow. And it looks cluttered and unappealing. Make it shiny, add some margins, add some curves, some images. Try out a few other fonts. The "study stickies" logo is pretty good, it's organic; make the rest of the site fit it. It might be a good idea to have an introduction page, rather than have the first thing people look at when entering the site be a lot of links and no clear structure. However functional it might be, it's just not friendly. |

Title: Re: Study Stickies: good enough to launch soon? Post by towr on Jul 20th, 2007, 12:35am I think I cannot see it unless I register and log in, which I don't plan to ever do. |

Title: Re: Study Stickies: good enough to launch soon? Post by amichail on Jul 20th, 2007, 2:28pm Computer science students should be encouraged to work for themselves. The facebook platform is pretty cool for that: http://developers.facebook.com/videos.php |
