Title: Nice (Hacker) Puzzle
Post by Barukh on Aug 28th, 2006, 3:32am
Here (http://www.freestuffhotdeals.com/hacker/1.html).

But is it difficult?  ???

Title: Re: Nice (Hacker) Puzzle
Post by Roy on Aug 28th, 2006, 4:07am
it seems similar to the hardest riddle on the internet site.

Title: Re: Nice (Hacker) Puzzle
Post by Barukh on Aug 28th, 2006, 4:27am
Maybe, but the latter is much harder!

So far it's terribly easy, and rather unhackerish..

Nineteen was a bit tricky, and googling for extra information yielded a page with all the answers.. (You need extra information for some of the steps anyway, cause I for one have no idea which presidents the US has had)

How many pages are there, anyway?

I got bored and quit at 18.

I agree that Nineteen is the worst. As a hint for anyone stuck on it [hide]Ojofuffo is not "Nineteen" in any language.[/hide]

As for the presidents, I don't have them memorized in order, but being an american, I was able to recognize that "Buchanan" was one, which allowed me to google straight to the correct answer.

I've recently started touting this site (http://n.nfshost.com/1.html) - which is probably similar (I haven't checked Barukh's link yet)

I've noticed that in the two-three weeks since I first solved it, walkthroughs have appeared on Google, making searches for supplementary data on some of the clues hazardous if you want to avoid spoilers...

I stumbled into another one..my friend pointed it to me.. www.archin.in/quiz.html

Just in case for the first clue if you are from those non-cricket playing nations.. the answer is cricket. The picture is that of Brett Lee, Australian fast bowler. Happy quizzing.. i haven't gone past 8th or 9th page as of now..

First few seem easy enough.. And it practically throws google at you, in case you forget you can look things up.

I wish I had time to make something better, but I find so little time for fun projects at the moment..

Remember you need to use "_" for space.

I thought it was done very well, as it required a little more thinking to discern the patterns behind the context.

If you want a really challenging one to work on, check this out:
http://neutralriddle.50webs.com/

I've only just started it and, as of posting, I'm on level 15; I believe that there are about seventy levels currently. And as you will soon discover the creators have a great sense of humour. In my view this is one of the best out there.

[edit]Currently on level 57 and bored now. It's become a sort of, "Guess what number is in my head... Sorry, try again." You have to use the forum from about 50 onwards to get extra clues which are either not present or are so obscure that even a Vulcan mind probe wouldn't reveal them from the creator's mind.[/edit]

I am also stuck on level 2 of http://neutralriddle.50webs.com/goon/level1.htm

The numbers it has is binary for 3, and I have entered your_answer (It was worth a try), 3, level3, binary, 2, 11, 10, 2+1, and even 65536 + 32768 + 64 + 8, but I can not figure out what the answer is.
