Title: Left, Right, or Ambidextrous? Post by Sir Col on Dec 24th, 2004, 2:36pm I would like to test a long standing suspicion I have about left/right handedness and a those who would consider themselves to be mathematically minded. My (limited) experience is that there are disproportionately more people who are [hide]left handed[/hide] that are mathematical than those who are not. I believe that around 1 in 20 people claim to be left handed, 7 in 10 claim to be right handed, and the remainder claim to be ambidextrous. It will be interesting to see how the statistics compare among us... |

Title: Re: Left, Right, or Ambidextrous? Post by EZ_Lonny on Dec 27th, 2004, 3:23am I am a stranger concerning this item. I am right handed, but I am left legged. Is there any theory to this? To my knowledge a person is both left handed / legged or right handed / legged. |

Title: Re: Left, Right, or Ambidextrous? Post by Noke Lieu on Feb 1st, 2005, 10:11pm Not particularly related, but almost. I have noticed an odd trend with martial arts... In the most of the judo clubs that I've trained with, the majority of judoka have been scientists, mathematicians, engineers etc. On the other hand, the majority of karate clubs I have known have been mostly populated by historians, theologans, linguists. Is this a co-incidence? Probably. But what if they'd all been left handed judoka.... ([hide]they weren't[/hide]) :o |
