;)  HI!   My dad sent me this riddle a few days ago.  He says that he made it up.  I cannot guess the answer...can someone please have mercy and tell me the answer.

 The riddle is posted correctly.  I do not understand the approach I should take to this riddle so again if anyone has a clue about what Dad was thinking, let me know. Thanks! ;D
