Title: Mix alphabets and numbers Post by mistaken_id on Mar 14th, 2009, 9:01am Suppose you a list of alphabets A,B,C,......Z and another list of numbers from 1,2,.....10 How many ways can you combine the above two lists into a single list? The constraint is after mixing partial order between alphabets, and partial order between numbers should still be retained? That is A should always come B, and B before c....... and 1 before 2,,,2 before 3........ so on |

Title: Re: Mix alphabets and numbers Post by Aryabhatta on Mar 14th, 2009, 11:10am [hide] You have total 36 spots and have to choose 10 for the numbers so 36 choose 10 seems to be right. [/hide] |
