Construct a game that finishes with 6. P(g7) x f8 = N mate.

Key realizations:

1) [hide]White has one more move than needed to get the pawn there, so there must be another white piece involved[/hide]
2) [hide]Black's king must have moved to be attackable from f8. and must not be able to move back[/hide]
3) [hide]f8 must be protected form Black's queen, either because she's noved or because a piece other than the king interposes.[/hide]
4) [hide]If black's knight at g8 has moved, f8 is attacked by black's rook at h8 (unless it has moved as well)[/hide]

I'm just a messenger. I do not have a board nor mental visual acuity to verify it.

Correct, SMQ.

Now construct a game which ends with 6. BxR (on c4) mate.

I get:[hideb]
1. Nf3
2. Nd4
3. Ne6 (or Nc6)
4. Nxd8 Nc6
5. Ne6 Nd8
6. Nxc7++

Black can do pretty much anything for the first three or four moves, so long as he can make 5. ... Nd8.

[/hideb]

Still working on the other one; Bishop takes Rook?! :)

Correct, SMQ.   :)

White can also capture the bishop:
[hide]1. Nf3  Nc6
2. Ng5  Ne5
3. Nxh7  Ng6
4. Nxf8  Nh6
5. Ne6  Nf8
6. Nxg7 mate.
