Title: Re: marble jars 1 Post by Three Hands on Sep 6th, 2004, 8:13am Try doing a search for "Marble Jars", using the search function. You may find some help (I don't know, but I suspect the puzzle has been debated on the board before) |

Title: Re: marble jars 1 Post by Kevin Ross on Sep 10th, 2004, 10:38am I think that you ayer the marbles in the jars, black on the bottom of each, and white on the top. That way if you pick a marble at random from the top, you will select a white one and live. |

Title: Re: marble jars 1 Post by TenaliRaman on Sep 10th, 2004, 11:43am Kevin, click the link T&B posted and read the question, "the jars are shaken up ...." If u read through the thread carefully, you will find a solution similar to yours posted there and discussed .... also the "proper" solution has been put out on that very same thread atleast three times. |

Title: Re: marble jars 1 Post by Icarus on Oct 12th, 2004, 5:22pm See the yellow-brown "Here" in Thud & Blunder's post (Reply #2)? That is a link to an earlier thread about this puzzle. Just move your mouse cursor over it, and when the cursor turns into a hand, click on it. In that thread, the answer is thoroughly discussed. |
