Title: Re: Previous Two Moves? Post by wowbagger on Sep 8th, 2003, 7:02am White has just played [hide]Nb4-a2+[/hide], because otherwise [hide]Black would have moved into check, which is not a legal move[/hide]. Before that, Black [hide]can't have moved his King, so there was another piece on the board, which was captured by White's last move. It must have moved to a2, so it can't have been a Pawn or a Knight. A Rook or Queen would have come from the first rank - impossible (White in check). This leaves Bb1-a2 as Black's last move, which changes White's answer to Nb4xa2+[/hide]. |

Title: Re: Previous Two Moves? Post by THUDandBLUNDER on Sep 8th, 2003, 8:07am Excellent answer. Irresistible nitpick: [hide]Black bishop could have also captured a White piece on a2. [/hide] :P |
