how about [hide](3+3/7)*7 = 21+3[/hide] = 24
I think it's allready at the site somewhere, cause I don't usually know the answer :P

You could 7 x 3= 21 + 3 = 24

You must use all 4 numbers once, and once only.

How about:
(7*3)+3!-3=24.

Okay.  How's This?

(sqrt(7 * 7 ) – sqrt( 3 * 3 ))! = 4! = 24

Usually you're only allowed to use +, -, * and  /
So no sqrt, ^ or ! and such

Since that one is solved, see if there is a way to get 2, 3, and 4 into 42 using any method.  You can use only 2, 3, and 4.

[/hide] ::

A slightly easier solution would be, [hide]2*4!–3![/hide], but I thought these problems are supposed to be solved with the basic arithmetic operations?

Here is another one for you::[hide][int]24(x[sup3]-x-x-x)dx=42. [/hide]::
