The ones on the map are rather easy to find;[hide] just look at the source code.[/hide]

Aye tis true  ;D.

[hide]Although to make it harder there are a large number of decoys embedded in there. And the image names are all just GUIDS. You would need to view every image to differentiate the hidden ones from the decoys. If you go to that trouble then you deserve the points for finding them![/hide]

Oh, 't was no trouble at all. A bit of search and replace all, and you have a html file that shows them all.

Any suggestions for an improved method of embedding (given the client-side nature of google api programming)?

At least the Challenge and Hidden ducks are tougher to crack.....

Since it's just javascript, packing it will make it harder on most people. (Although it can be unpacked as well; if people know what to look for.) You can use http://dean.edwards.name/packer/ With the encoding option, it becomes much harder to read, and also shorter.

Yep, an extra layer of obfuscation sounds like a plan - thanks.
