The Sea of Love
« on: May 24th, 2017, 1:43am »
Quote Quote Modify Modify

It returned to its home,
to the sea, to the sea,
that is its death, —
but also its only glee?

O, the journey,
long and dark;
rest assured, —
there is no Ark.

Why?

Because it sank?

PS: I think this poem can be read to the tune of "Unchained Melody".

I seriously doubt that.

For instance, what did you do today? Now there is something we all can relate to and yet, not quite to the intended answer.

Because otherwise the rain would hit the Ark instead of the sea.

You're full of 'the answer goes here'.

Fair comment, thanks for the feedback!
I thought I spelled it out pretty well in this example though; I guess my subtlety detector needs tuning!
In any case, I think the answer to "What am I?" in this riddle is rain.

The answer is always rain because we are bags of water.
