Was going to try and create a raven-esque riddle. Damn, thats tough. 
Here's an alternative.
I met some parrots,
All busy in a flock.
If they'd been us,
they'd have worn a smock.
They flew and left this behind,
It was in all, a curious find.
Here's a little clue
The parrots to Oz belong.
You'll know when your words are true
As it sounds like a song.

That's what happens when you work in medicine for too long

?? Kids (munchkins) wearing winter coats (brightly colored smocks like parrots markings), making snowmen in February (Hebra Dairy), a carrot (left behind, rhymes with parrot)??
?? …or by, Salvador Seuss: Monks in trunks with skunks… ??

The guano comment was about the way raven discribed their "gift".
So the smocks are smocks worn by artists. Hey did you just highlight this out of habit?
That means they left behind some...
Last thing is to get is the sort of parrot. We have many many many. Two famous ones though....
