perhaps u guys can explain why the answer is so. Q: I'm in light but not in night. I'm in look but not in sight, In love and life but not in time; In line and length but not in rhyme. I don't think the answer is "the sound"... maybe you mean the "L" sound. Notice that the "L" sound is in all the words the poem says it is, but not in the others.

i myself do not think the answer is 'the sound'. but it says so due to its origin of the poem. but your response is appreciated... keep them coming.

I have to agree with Pietro: The answer to the riddle seems to be the sound "L". I suggest that somehow the answer got corrupted before you saw it, and the "L" was dropped.

i also agree that the answer is the letter "L" itself. it is the only letter that is in all of the first words and in none of the second. other than that the words in the poem have no other common elements
