I suppose this is the intended answer. However, you could argue that they would have ten legs in all, as Sleipnir, to my knowledge, has eight legs and Odin has two.

Actually, I had a bit of a strange feeling when first reading about the arachnid-like variant. But all links that turned up tried to convince me of this one being the real thing.
I'm not so sure anymore, but I know that I knew the correct number once. Weird...
