Last Saturday it rained

Last Saturday it rained, but nine of my friends and I still went for a swim. When we got out, only eight of us could find something to dry off with. On Sunday it was nice, so ten others had a cookout. They got really burnt, but only eight of them could find something soft to wrap themselves in. What am I?

I don't think I want to know what you really are.

The answer is a little more tame than that.

My answer is tame enough. I was just referring to the age-old and somewhat disturbing mystery of what makes you you.

I know exactly what you are. You're a guy telling a story about the poor guy who forgot a towel.

This is a conundrum that has assailed the great chefs of the world, or at least all great chefs with children. The answer is not a Great Dane, nor a German Shepherd, a Welsh Gorgi is also incorrect, even if these dogs were out in the desert where it is very hot. Sometimes my mom just made us use a slice of white.

Doh! I suppose one reason I didn't get this is that I despise swimmers!

Good one aeroguy. I was just watching an old movie the other day where the guy was pulling only eight out of the packages-right in the store, because he was so preturbed over the fact they gave you twelve. Personally, I prefer twelve to eight. Good riddle.
