Trick Questions.

We are bound to have a heap of them. So lets hear them. I am thinking of questions along the lines of: There are three apples... you take two apples away, how many do you have? Birds on a wire, farmer shoots one, how many left? How do you add two to eleven to make one? You're a bus driver, six people on, three people off, 2 on, three off, 7 on, 2 off.... what colour is the bus driver's shirt? Just interested in getting a few. We can discuss the anwers too, but just after questions at the moment. Oh, and any topology demos other than wirecuffs?

<insert appropriately long word here>. How do you spell it? Or, for a truly poor one: A peacock's egg is twice as heavy as a chicken's egg, but is also twice as long. Which egg is wider? :: peacocks don't lay eggs...:: Might think of some more later

Will these do? ******************* If two's company and three's a crowd, what are four and five? Is an old hundred dollar bill better than a new one? What is one thing that all wise men, regardless of their religion or politics, agree is between heaven and earth? Imagine you are in a steel box without any openings, windows or doors, completely sealed. How do you get out? Can a California man legally marry his widow's sister? Do they have a fourth of July in England? A clerk in the butcher shop is 5'10" tall. What does he weigh? Before Mount Everest was discovered, what was the highest mountain on earth? How many bricks does it take to complete a building made of brick? How long will a seven day cuckoo clock run without winding? Why can't you hang a man with a wooden leg? Can you write a book on an empty stomach? What is the third hand on a watch called?

Yeah, they're not bad. More after number based ones though. there's one the participant mentally adds 10, 20, 30, 40 then adding 100 stuffs it up. Not garuanteed, but it works often enough. will hunt for it...

Here are some new ones: You enter a completely darkened room. The only thing you taken with you is a match. In the room there are three things. A candle, a furnace and an oil-lamp. There is no electricity. What do you light first? A farmer has 15 cows. All die except for 9. How many cows stay alive? A doctor gives you three pills. They need to be taken every half an hour. How long does it take to consume all three pills? A employee working in nightshifts dies at noon. Does he get social wellfare? How many animals of each kind did Moses take on his boat? Is it possible for an archeoligist to find a coin inscribed with the year 35 BC ? Why do some dutch men have a phone coloured red-white-blue? How many month have 28 days over a period of 8 years? Divide 30 by 1/2 and add 10. What's the outcome?

about your doctor w/ the pills one. you don't say wether or not they had to take one right away, so it could either be 1 and 1/2 hours or just 1 hour, depending on when they take the first one

The doctor answer is 1 hour. 1:00, 1:30, and 2:00 = 1 hour

I think this is what you were looking for.... Take 1000. Add 40. Add another 1000. Add 30. 1000 again. Plus 20. Plus 1000. And plus 10. What is the total?
