Stuck in a Locked Room: Pun Intended!

You are stuck in a cubical, iron room with a locked, strong maple door. But this is no usual door because this is no usual riddle, that is to say, although it has a lock with a knob and everything, it does not have a keyhole! Yes. This is a very unusual door. But, do not despair, and perhaps needlessly, forwhy you carry a magic key and also a gun with one bullet. Why did I say “magic”, you ask? Well, let me tell you! It is because the key was made out of a pinkie of a liquid shapeshifting lifeform called changeling, and so it can change its shape in order to fit any keyhole. Yay! To top that, you also have a clean sheet of paper at your disposal lying on the floor because the room is very clean, though imprisonment is a form of injury regardless how you justify it. You better hurry up though forwhy it won’t be clean for much longer. After all, when nature calls, one ought to go. Am I right? I must stress that the bullet is in a clip, that is to say, in a device used to store multiple rounds of ammunition together as a unit, already inserted into a magazine that is inserted into the gun. What more could you ask for?! As per imagery considered, though unimportant in order to solve the riddle, the gun is in one pocket of your trousers, while the magical key is in the other. Watch out for Gollum! and - - - enjoy! and happy punny puzzling!

A clue: Combine stuff just like in an adventure game. Sort of. Weird stuff . . .

That one was easy. You forgot to lock the door.

Meh. The answer is silly. You ought to combine stuff, put certain objects/words together. Silly.

For the record, my key isn't a changeling. It is the keyhole that changes its shape in order to adapt to my key, and not the opposite.

I'd fire the gun so that the bullet makes a hole in a certain part of the door. Why? Try to figure it out on your own. Again, not one of my best riddles.

You fire the gun to make a keyhole. Then you unlock the door with the magic key.

| This certainly on the right track. Yet, just because you make a "hole" in this strange door it does not necessarily mean it is "keyhole", does it now? Nope. Perhaps you ought to use the magic key for something entirely else; and then try to, somehow, unlock the door . . . Again, combine stuff. Weird stuff. And somebody post a decent riddle! It appears, not all of my riddles are impeccable, even though I am an alien.

You load the magic key in the gun (it magically assumes the shape of a bullet) and fire at the door. Since it is a hole made by a key, it is by definition a keyhole. You slide the sheet of paper under the door to allow the key to eventually fall on it after bouncing all around in the room on the other side. Pulling back the paper you recover the key and use it to unlock the door.

I commend your imagination. And slam myself silly for posting this riddle in the first place. So, it is not you: it is me! Here's a part of the solution. You use the gun to make a hole in the door, right below the door knob. Then you insert the magic key inside the hole, so that "key" and "hole" merge together into a "keyhole", talking 'bout permutations, transmutations and alchemy. The rest is easy, now that you know how silly I can be . . . Btw, you can delete this topic if you like. No hard feelings at all. I was too quick to post this riddle.
