Sudden death

A hypochondriac in his thirties is afraid he’ll die in his sleep and soon even though he is in good health. It is like so because he had a dream in which the devil appeared and told him this. A week after the dream he lies in his bed certain he’ll die. How can he be so sure? No other living beings or unmentioned objects have a role in the riddle.

Death, or the Devil, appear before him, ready to take him away. Since Death isn't living, and the Devil was mentioned previously, they (I guess) are allowed to be a part of the riddle.
