A man in perfect health is looking for his glasses at home because he wants to use them. When he finds them he does not take them. Why not? The glasses are easily accessible, clean and undamaged.

Because they are the wrong glasses.
Some possibilities include:
They are drinking glasses and he wants reading glasses.
They are reading glasses and he wants drinking glasses.
They are glasses belonging to someone else.
And there is also another option, that: when he found them, he realised he was already using them for the intended purpose. For example, as a paper weight. Or, he found them already on the bridge of his nose.
