jeepers creepers (not suitable for children)

Detective Somerset is investigating murders of one men, two women and disappearance of one man. The missing man is presumed dead. One female corpse was beheaded. Head was taken by the murderer. The man was suffocated. He was found tied to the chair with plastic bag over his head. Also, the killer punctured his vein with a syringe taking some of his blood. The last victim was found strangled.

The detective visits a suspect, farmer Francis Henry, at his secluded home. A witness saw him carrying a plastic shopping bag near the house of the strangled woman. Upon arrival, the 1st thing the detective notices is a scarecrow in the cornfield. The scarecrow’s head is completley wrapped up in bandages, wearing dark goggles, and its body is wrapped in a black coat. Francis heartily welcomes the detective. They go to the living room where Francis answers questions, one of which is about the above witness. He replies that it was a coincidence because he likes to saunter aimlessly sometimes. He explains the bag by saying that he bought a T-shirt. When the detective asks him about the scarecrow, the farmer says that he’s a big fan of a six-part television serial The Invisible Man. In the final scene of the serial, Marvel is conducting an imaginary conversation with a scarecrow that resembles the bandaged Invisible Man. The detective notices that the living room is colorful and asks him about its interesting items. Francis made all of the items himself, saying proudly that he’s a craftsman. There is a hollow pyramid on the table. It is made out of transparent plastic and it can be easily disassembled. Somerset takes this item and asks him about it. The farmer says that the pyramid has two prisoners. The detective guesses correctly one prisoner, which is air, and asks him about the 2nd prisoner. He replies it’s a secret and makes a joke saying that a gentleman never tells. Four stuffed ravens are on the walls. Farmer says that he pictures the soul of a man in the shape of a raven. There’s a painting of a bloodthirsty black monster with red eyes. If you look into the monster’s eyes, the monster looks back at you, and at that moment you know yourself, says Francis. The remaining clay item is a statue of the head of an unknown woman. Somerset says that he likes the statue and asks him if he would like to sell it. It would be hard for Francis to part with his art because he likes to keep everything that matters to him nearby. The detective says that he doesn’t want to take any more of his time and leaves. But later there’s a light bulb over his head, so he returns with a search warrant. He manages to accuse him for the deaths of all the above four victims. What happened?

Somerset had the following ideas when he left the farmer's home:

1. The clay head was the head of the beheaded woman.

2. The red color in the monster's eyes was actually the blood taken from one of the victims.

3. The other prisoner in the pyramid was the tooth of one of the victims.
.

Later, the fifth body was found and he was bald, which made Somerset think about the raven's plumage. So he got the search warrant. The plumage of the raven was found out to be the hair of the victim. Also, the fingerprints of the strangled victims was found on the coat and goggles of the scarecrow

1st two guesses are right. That’s two down, two more to go.

It seems that the missing man is currently serving scarecrow duty and that perhaps the pyramid is made with the plastic bag used to strangle the last victim.

However, I don't know what his lightbulb was.

You’re right about the scarecrow. But what was the 2nd prisoner inside the transparent pyramid? I’m sure that Gotit knows the answer. Wink

I am not sure about it.  Tongue But I guess it could be the  last breath of the strangled victim.

Also,  the 4 ravens signify the souls of the 4 murdered people.

It wasn't breath. You’re right about the ravens.

When I implied that you know the answer I was referring to one of your guesses.

It's a reference to a cartoon device. A bright light bulb over a character's head indicates that he/she has had a brilliant idea. Undecided

I meant that I don't know what the brilliant idea was which gave him probable cause to obtain a warrant.  Wink

I suppose that Somerset convinced a judge or magistrate.
