Let's say there is a really evil guy, who is trying to destroy your life, because of some irrelevant details. Anyways, he calls you on your cellphone, saying he has taken your sister/girlfriend/wife/mother/favourite video game console. He says that you have exactly 3 hours to find him, or he'll kill/destroy your precious person/object, and he'll also take the disc. He discribes his ability to read your mind within exactly 500 meters. While searching for him, he continuously taunts you on all the things you're thinking of, and if you leave his range, he'll taunt you on how you are running out of time. This battle is also about something that if revieled, it would completely destroy your reputation, so you are unably to go to the police, or others. After an hour of frantic searching, you calm down, and decide to make a reasonable plan. What is your plan?

You can only believe i what you can prove, and since you have nothing proven to cmpare to, you can believe in nothing.
I have ~50 posts to hack a "R" into a "D". Which one?

Are we constraining him to some total distance from us? Do we need to search an entire state for this 500 meter circle? Or can we simply use compass and measuring tape?

Find the border (with a map if available) by running in and out of range till you get 3 points and plot a circle. Course if this person could really read your mind, he should be able to figure it out and move... Or you can think of all the possible places while in radius and if he gets silent or especially loud after you think of a particular spot, he may be hiding there. Once again, however, he could mind read your plan

| Sounds like a good plan, given the constraints of the problem.
