The two sisters
« on: Mar 29th, 2009, 11:24am »

Two sisters, Jane and Amber, were both conceived at the same time and born minutes apart from the same mother. However,  they are not twins. Note that the conception was natural (i.e. no artificial insemination or in vitro fertilisation were involved).
Both babies and mother are all of the same species ... homo sapiens

How?

I've seen this one more than a couple of times, so I'll leave my response at that.

Why is it that people ask for my two cents worth, and then only offer me a penny for my thoughts?
That deal sucks!

Just to add my two cents (yet again), they don't necessarily have to be triplets.  They could be quadruplets or even higher.

They could be two characters in a story. Conceived at the same time in the mind of a female author, and put to paper (born) within minutes of each other.
I suppose you could argue whether they're the same species as the mother; they don't really occupy the same universe; but I think it could work.
