Closed Room Hotel Drop

There A dead man was found impaled on a statue under his room, which was on the twentieth story. There was a suicide note found in his room, along with sleeping pills, which were found in his bloodstream, implying that he had taken sleeping pills and thrown himself from the window. The room was closed and the door locked. It was determined that the dead man was the only one in the room before the death. However, a detective on the scene was sure it wasn't, and sure enough, he proved it to be a murder. How?

The jump (at least the landing) must have been instant death. If there is soporific in the bloodstream, it must have been there before he jumped to death. But then he couldn't have jumped.

Why will he consume sleeping pills and then jump out? Either one of them would have been enough to kill him.

The handwriting wasn’t his. Or he was Siamese twin. Or he was hypnotized. Or these sleeping pills work real fast so he didn’t had time to jump through the window.

If the detective proved it, that means he must’ve found hard data. So the evidence was........ fingerprints? Or the name of this hotel is I’m a happy man, so this looked suspicious to the detective from the beginning; thus he investigated further & found proper evidence.

The depth to which the statue penetrated his body proved he had only fallen less than 5 stories. The window in his room still had a screen on it, and it was too small for him to fit through. The room was locked, but the key was neither in the room or on his body. The sleeping pills in his bloodstream, not his stomach, proved he had taken them long before he fell. There was sleeping pill residue in a wine bottle in his room proving he was drugged. The sleeping pills were a prescription made out to his wife's lover, who had a room on the fourth floor. The signature at the bottom of the suicide note looked like a scribble, but it was actually Sanskrit for "Bob killed me." The manager of the hotel was a pervert who had hidden cameras in every room, and he got it all on tape. The people staying in the room next door, with paper thin walls, heard the suicide note being dictated, followed by a gunshot. An autopsy showed that the statue piercing wound actually masked the bullet hole that really killed him.

A hundred guests at a garden party saw the inert body being thrown down by a man on the balcony. He lay on the ground and the statue has been thrown after him. The sleeping pills were surgically inserted in his bloodstream, blocking the arteries to the brain. The man's head was still on the bed in the room. He was also stabbed 12 times in the back with a large knife. on Apr 19th, 2008, 2:43pm, tohuvabohu wrote:The signature at the bottom of the suicide note looked like a scribble, but it was actually Sanskrit for "Bob killed me." |

Since the door was locked, then we should assume that the murder occurred at night, as someone climbed down from the above story. This is why the door was locked from the inside and the window was wide open. So the detective checked the above room and found certain evidence, like rope and stuff. Or a sniper got him from hotel across the street. He was the only one in the room before the death, so the killer was waiting for him on the ledge. He lured him to the window by imitating a bird. ......coincidently, he drank the pills as he wanted to commit suicide, but the killer didn’t know this. Or these particular sleeping pills can be bought only in Australia?

..........from the information that was given, I’ve deduced, together with Grimbal, that the detective is the culprit. Elementary, dear Watson, elementary.

try it out for yourself. And the sleeping pills were not injected or anything. They entered through his mouth. No one else was in the room for the previous few hours. the murderer was also no int and of the rooms above or below him. So how do you drop someone onto something directly below without being directly above?
